What a Glorious New Year It Will Be!

This is a blog created for Alexis Hakalmazian. On June 28, 2006 she was diagnosed with leukemia (AML). She endured 4 rounds of chemotherapy at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX before heading home in mid-November. She is truly an encouragement to all of us.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

I know I came to see you today, but I just wanted to let you know that each time I hear the balla song.. or "Must be doing something right".. or I see a monster.. or just everywhere I go, I think of you and our AMAZING memories. I'm going to miss you SO SO SO SO much this year during season, and just at school in general. It won't be the same without you, but we'll pull through and try to go to state for you! =] haha. I miss you everyday, and I want you to know that I'm praying for you. ( I even have my "holy" socks on. =])

dang look at them bad boys in spandex. praying for you everyday,

ps- the day i found out i balled my eyes out and i think you singlehandedly ruined my gangster reputation...so now i cant ask the rat-tail kid for lunchmoney anymore. dangit!

    Monster-

I'm just remembering the time me & you had to run cause we talked in the huddle(Actually if I remember correctly I was making "gangster cutting fingers" at you, and you laughed). I think we ran about 26 miles before Coach FINALLY finished explaining the drill. Ah man, I'm going to be running all by myself this year. Oh joy! =] Now, I'm thinking about the time we went to the state fair, and sat in the cars on display and honked at people. And then made our way to the ferris wheel.. and freaked out the entire way up, while (not to mention) sitting across from french people. Wow alexis.. we truly are amazing together!
I'll be seeing you sometime this week! I love you!

Hi Alexis, I just wanted you to know that we are praying for your recovery and strength every day.
I know that God is going to do amazing things for you and your family. I believe that you are going to do great things for him as you fight the fight and learn the lessons that he has for you right now, and in your recovery!
(I still want you to think about writing a journal of your time!)
    See you soon!
