What a Glorious New Year It Will Be!

This is a blog created for Alexis Hakalmazian. On June 28, 2006 she was diagnosed with leukemia (AML). She endured 4 rounds of chemotherapy at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX before heading home in mid-November. She is truly an encouragement to all of us.

He Will Carry You

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me
because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen
only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”

Alexis - this is such a beautiful writing and over the next few months you will find out just how true it is.
I'm Caleb Davis's mom (from Brock's team). I'm sure your parents have shared Caleb's story with you. All I can say right now is for you to take each step as God lays it out before you and don't look too far ahead. Trust in Him to show all of you the way and he will bless you through this like you never dreamed. If you would like to read Caleb's story his web site is www.caringbridge.org/tx/calebdavis Hope it's okay, I put a link to your web site on his page so those who have prayed us through our journey, can now do the same for you.
