What a Glorious New Year It Will Be!

This is a blog created for Alexis Hakalmazian. On June 28, 2006 she was diagnosed with leukemia (AML). She endured 4 rounds of chemotherapy at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX before heading home in mid-November. She is truly an encouragement to all of us.

    My MONSTER!
Ah, I miss you so much. I'm so sorry I haven't been up there to see you. I'm grounded =[ . It's a long story that I would LOVE to tell you all about when I come see you again. (Which will be the week of tryouts). Basically, I'm under house arrest. Its GREAT. Not. I'm so happy to hear about how your doing. Yet again, it proves that miracles happen. I can't wait til next time I see you. I've missed you alot this summer. OH! Team Camp is tomorrow. It's going to WEIRD without my monster, but I know you'll be there in spirit.. and your spirit will be yelling at me. Haha, i'm kidding. =] Well Hackle, keep getting better, and count down the days til I get to come see you! (10 days and counting). I love you and miss you ALOT.

    Hi Alexis,

Your Grandpa Rich tells me you made 40 laps around the floor today - awesome! Everyone here at Freightliner in Phoenix is praying for you. Your strength and courage have inspired us all.

    Alexis,

Just got back from Tennessee and heard you are home! :) That's absolutely great! I know you will continue your rapid recovery! You are so strong-willed, I am sure you will be back to playing volleyball sooner than expected! Hey, by the way, I really tried to hit a home run for you in Tennessee, but all I could come up with was a HR on errors! Oops! Maybe next time! Take care and keep smiling!
