What a Glorious New Year It Will Be!

This is a blog created for Alexis Hakalmazian. On June 28, 2006 she was diagnosed with leukemia (AML). She endured 4 rounds of chemotherapy at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX before heading home in mid-November. She is truly an encouragement to all of us.

    Hey Alexis!

I'm so glad to see you're able to stay at home a little while. There's no place like home and I'm sure you're so excited to be there!

I just wanted to drop you a quick not to tell you that I was thinking about you.

    Stay strong!

    Erin

    Hey, Great Neice Hakalmonster!
I have read your last update. I would be lying if I didn't tell you that I am worried,a little, for you.
NOW you know as well as ALL OF US know now ! And all the other folks that have had the great fortune of being in your life currently, that you are one "TOUGH COOKIE".!
I mean you can see that "stance" and that fiercely determined look on your face in the SPORTS ILLUSTRATED picture.( looks like you take VOLLEYBALL very seriously) That "VISUAL" SHOWS that you are quite a FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH! and not (exactly) the Princess Type! That seems to be your "M O". That is who you are. I bet your the person that says (even if you don't feel like it)hey, no problem I'll take care of it! Whatever "IT" is.
So having said all this, this apparent "M O" that you have, lets people know, myself included, that you can HANDLE whatever is thrown at you , including "THIS"!
You know, I could be all wrong about this, but for some reason (other than you are , afterall, a Hakalmazian) I just don't think so!
I am praying for you, Niece Hakalmonster!!
MAY GOD BLESS YOU (DOUBLE) ! !
    LOVE, GREAT(?) AUNT HAKALMANIAC (gastler)

Hello. I received this link from a base-wide email sent at JRB Ft. Worth. My name is Nathan Reavis, and I am a drilling reservist that lives in San Antonio. I am currently listed on the NMDR and have donated before (apherisis in 2003). I think my information is still updated on the registry, but just in case...I'm willing to help if I can. My blood type is O- and I can provide more information if requested. I can be reached at nreavis@navy.mil or nreavis@swri.org.

    Thank you and good luck,
    Nathan

You are an inspiration to us all. Your positive attitude and great sense of humor is wonderful. Brooke likes your home health nurse. We look forward to seeing you back with your Central Charger teammates. God bless you.
