Meet Alexis' Home Health Nurse

After completing her 2nd round of chemo today (Friday, August 4th), Alexis will be leaving the hospital in the afternoon to spend some time at home. She is doing so well; the doctors have released her until her next round of chemo. This means she could be home (sleeping in her own bed!) for almost 20 days, unless she comes down with a fever.

As you can see Bailey is ready to help Alexis with her home healthcare needs.

Although the goal of the chemo is to wipe out all of the "bad" blood cells, this process also significantly weakens the immune system. This means Alexis will have to take it easy and avoid exposure to anything that may give her an infection (fever) over the next couple of weeks.

We may not fully understand God's ways, but we can still appreciate His mercy and His grace. Alexis sill faces 3 more rounds of chemo, but she is on the road to miraculous healing.
