What a Glorious New Year It Will Be!

This is a blog created for Alexis Hakalmazian. On June 28, 2006 she was diagnosed with leukemia (AML). She endured 4 rounds of chemotherapy at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX before heading home in mid-November. She is truly an encouragement to all of us.

    Dear Greatest-Great Niece Alexis,
I have a question for ya. Isn't just about the time myself and your other FANS get a new picture of you posted for our enjoyment and pleasure? Please, when you get a moment? You would make a whole bunch of people very happy!
And by the way, here is some humor for ya while you're crusin this blog...
GUIDELINES FOR DOING HOMEWORK School policy states that students should not spend more than 90 minutes on their homework. Time should be budgeted in this manner:
    15 min. looking for assignment
11 min. calling a friend for the assignment
23 min. explaining why the teacher is mean and just does not like teenagers
    8 min. in the bathroom
    10 min. getting a snack
7 min. checking the TV Guide
6 min. telling parents that the teacher never explained the assignment
10 min.sitting at the kitchen table waiting for Mom or Dad to do the assignment
AND REMEMBER:Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.
Love and Prayers, your Great-Aunt Kath

Alexis....I know your love for volleyball and we enjoyed your time playing with us at Tejas Volleyball. I know you are still recovering but I thought I would extend an offer to you to be a part of our club and to still be around volleyball as you are recovering. You can participate in any capacity that you can - coach/play/help/anything. Please let me know if you are interested. You may not know, but I lost my mom 2 years ago to leukemia and it was very difficult. Let me know if you are interested in joining us.

Love Kevin Anderson & everyone at Tejas Volleyball. 817-681-9568
