This is a blog created for Alexis Hakalmazian. On June 28, 2006 she was diagnosed with leukemia (AML). She endured 4 rounds of chemotherapy at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX before heading home in mid-November. She is truly an encouragement to all of us.

good news and bad news


well hello everyone!!!
sorry it has taken so long once again for another post! well i have good news and bad news. im going to go with the bad news first so that the good news makes sense. on thursday last week i was working out in athletics and i started to cough up blood at first it was a little but it quickly turned in to much more. i went to the nurses office and she called an ambulance. when i got to the hospital they thought it was my pnemonia acting up so they decided to take me into surgery the next day to remove the small piece of lung that was infected with the pnemonia so on frida yi went into surgery and they removed less than one third of my lower right lobe of my lung. i stayed in the hospital until tuesday to recover. it was very painful. now i am starting to feel better and i am staying with my uncle jeff and aunt kristin durring the day so my parents dont have to take off of work any more. the good news is i am feeling good and i will go back to school on monday! i love you al and will keep you posted!

    Alexis,
    Recently found out you were sick. I wanted to let you know I am praying for you and you are in my thoughts. You are such a great kid and I am so happy I got to know you and your wonderful family. Glad to hear that you are having more good news than bad and GO COLTS!!! Super Bowl Champs-you must be excited. Hope you got to enjoy the game.

    Hey Greatest Great-Niece,
    Can't leave you alone not even for a minute! I am so sorry that you had to go through all that! I am certainly glad you are feeling better though! What an awful scare for all of you! Well, no more of that kind of thing from you, Ms.Super Hack! We are quite aware that you are a Special Super Being from God! And trust me we will never forget such a thing!
    I can't help wondering exactly what very special thing God has in mind for you to do? But you can bet that HE most definitely has!
