What a Glorious New Year It Will Be!

This is a blog created for Alexis Hakalmazian. On June 28, 2006 she was diagnosed with leukemia (AML). She endured 4 rounds of chemotherapy at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX before heading home in mid-November. She is truly an encouragement to all of us.

Hi Alexis....You are amazing. After reading your father's tribute to children, we can see strength runs in your family. We can't wait until your grandparents come to Chicago next week for our wedding. We want to make sure we really let them know what an incredible granddaughter they have. We continue to keep you in our prayers.
    Love,
    Kathy Sternagle & Jack

    Alexis,
Caleb was at Cook's on the 7th having scans -- sorry we missed you, but SOOOOO glad you were at home. You can check his web site as we've been going through just a little set back, but will make it through this too, just as you will -- one day at a time, one step at a time with the Lord's help. Your Dad is so correct in how he sees things. What both of our familes has gone through sure changes your perspective on life. Every day we are given is a Gift from from above and our children are certainly a Gift we are blessed with.
We hope to see you soon -- probably for a tonsillectomy which seems to be in our near future.
